The granddaddy NASCAR DFS weekend before the playoffs has arrived as the Cup Series heads to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Since NASCAR turned this race into the final shot for drivers to claim their place in the Round of 16, the race has been nothing short of entertaining, and two drivers on the cusp of admittance are the talk of the town. Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Blaney are the only winless drivers in the field, and many would say Blaney has the advantage of being a superspeedway.
But what if everyone is focusing on that way too hard? What if they should be looking into how to make the race exciting for their own reasons? The simple answer to that question is “Fuck yes they should be”.
The easiest way to do that is by playing a shit ton of NASCAR DFS contests in Saturday’s race, and with some limited guidance, you could have the Saturday night of a lifetime (I’m talking about as hype as Dale doing Dalescenter LIVE From Hooters for the first time ever hype).
We may have fallen short on Friday with our Wawa 250 DFS and Betting Picks, but hey, that Daytona right? No grudges held and no stones left unturned in our pursuit for a NASBAG! The Strategy and Mixure should be in full effect for Saturday’s Cup Race, and as I stated in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 DFS Preview Show, PLAY NO LESS THAN 20 LINEUPS!

DraftKings NASCAR Picks For Daytona: Coke Zero Sugar 400
#43 Erik Jones – $6.9K
Erik Jones is starting P11 in Saturday night’s race, and I really hope the folks sleep on this man. Petty GMS has come so close to a win this season that it’s honestly the perfect underdog ending to the 2022 regular season. Jones is a great superspeedway racer and is beyond due for a win. So much so that he landed on my Action Network Verified Betting Card this week, and will be in a solid amount of my lineups.
#23 Bubba Wallace – $7.8K
Starting P30 this Saturday night is Bubba Wallace (AKA Darrell). This will most like be the most popular play in sight due to place differential potential, and his skill on superspeedways. The man came out swinging in his first Cup Series race finishing P2 behind Austin Dillon, so it’s only a matter of time before he seals a Daytona Victory. If it happens on Saturday, you will be a broken soul if you didn’t have him in some lineups.
#10 Aric Almirola- $6.7K
I was pleased to find out that Aric Almirola’s retirement went exactly as I had planned it to go, and with that recent announcement, I’m putting good energy into the Bacon Boi play. Almirola has one Win, and seven Top 10 finishes when racing at Tona with three of the finishes being inside the Top 5. With Bacon Boi starting in P27, he is easily one of my favorite veteran backmarkers to run for a W and spark his newly found un-retirement.
#7 Corey Lajoie – $5.8K
Corey Lajoie is a homie of homies and I look forward to this race each year knowing that he will continue to be a vital part of my DFS lineups at this track. Lajoie can be very risky due to his balls-to-the-wall energy chasing his first career Cup Series win, but the risk is so worth the reward. For DFS, Lajoie is a proven place differential provider and stays true to that more than he wrecks out. In his time, Lajoie has had three Top 10 finishes at Daytona and seems to be able to glide with the Gen 7.
