It’s Truck Night in America time! The playoffs start tonight at World Wide Technology Raceway as we make another go at another NASCAR DFS payday.
The top ten drivers in points make a run for the 2021 championship, and it starts tonight at Gateway. Sheldon Creed is the defending winner of this race.
Austin Hill has won two consecutive races (in bullshit fashion; let’s not kid ourselves) and brings some heavy momentum heading into Friday night. Only five of the ten drivers in the playoffs have won a race this year.
John Hunter Nemechek has won five of the fifteen races this season and is the betting favorite to win this race tonight.
Looking at the DFS slate, I think there are many good plays tonight. One important note to remember is that pit stops between stages are controlled tonight since it is a stand-alone race for the series as Cup and Xfinity are in Michigan.
That means that no positions can be advanced or lost during pit stops in the stage breaks. Everything will be decided on track.
Let’s get right into it.

NASCAR DFS Truck Picks For DraftKings
John Hunter Nemechek: #4 KBM Toyota – $11,600
JHN has averaged a win in one out of every three races this season. He is currently on two race losing streak.
Nemechek is a former winner at this track dating back to 2017 and his truck has won here two other times with C. Bell and Bubba Wallace.
If I’m playing one single entry winner-take-all contest, it’s gonna feature JHN. He is the favorite and priced where he’s at for a reason.
Todd Gilliland: #38 DGR Ford – $9,400
Todd Gilliland is constantly slept on by DraftKings. Let me tell you why I think Gilliland will win this race tonight.
Todd was very dominant here last year before getting taken out by Creed in a battle for the lead in the late stages of the race. Todd has also been very fast this season.
The controlled pit stops play a big factor here. Gilliland has consistently had one of the fastest trucks all season long. His kryptonite continues to be mistakes on pit road.
With controlled pit stops, we won’t have to worry about that possibility.
Gilliland has accumulated seven consecutive Top 10 finishes and five Top 5 finishes in that seven race span. I think he is a big mis-price on DraftKings as he very well may dominate this race from start to finish.
Dawson Cram: #41 Cram Racing Enterprises Chevrolet – $5,400
This is the punt play of the week. Cram finished 22nd in this race last year and has performed stellar all season long.
His worst finish this season is 31st (three times), but has finished in the Top 28 in six of nine races this season. He starts P38.
I think this is quite a mis-price as well as his performance and place-differential performance indicates he should be priced higher. Cram is a must-play tonight.
Ty Majeski: #66 ThorSport Toyota – $9,000
Majeski has been solid in all three of his starts this season. He’s averaging 44.7 FPTS and has finished in the Top 15 in all three races with ThorSports.
He finished 9th at this track last season in a Niece truck, and he’s starting from the 25th position. I think Majeski is a solid play due to his place-differential potential and runs in the Top 15 if not the Top 10 tonight.
