New Holland 250: NASCAR Xfinity Picks for DraftKings

The NASCAR DFS slate boasts a triple header this weekend and a Michigan double header that is kicked off by the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday.

Austin Cindric won the last time out last weekend at the Indianapolis Road Course winning his fifth race of the season. After two consecutive weeks of left and right turns, we’re back on left turns only (queue the stereotypes).

Saturday will have quite a stacked field as Ty Gibbs, Tyler Reddick, Josh Berry and Bubba Wallace will be competing in the New Holland 250. Tyler Reddick is the defending winner of this race dating back to 2019.

This race is going to be a tough one with all the different legitimate possibilities throughout the field. Enhanced star power along with some unknowns from a track the series hasn’t raced at since 2019 definitely will contribute some chaos to the slate.

Let’s get right into it.

NASCAR DFS Xfinity Picks for DraftKings

Ty Gibbs: #54 JGR Toyota – $11,000

Go ahead and thank Bubba Wallace for saving you an extra $600. It’s a miracle Ty “The Prodigy” Gibbs isn’t the highest priced play on the board.

With an average finish of 5.3 on ovals this season, Gibbs and his lightning fast #54 are the pair to beat on Saturday. The kid is phenomenal, the car is phenomenal, and the results have been phenomenal.

Gibbs starts 10th and I would expect a quick charge to the front and for him to stay there all day. Don’t be surprised if he pulls off another win in his remarkable rookie campaign.

Brandon Jones: #19 JGR Toyota – $9,400

I absolutely love BJ this weekend. He starts 24th, and he excels on the flatter based intermediates.

Regarding 2-milers: he finished 6th here in 2019, and he finished 2nd at Homestead and 7th at Pocono in 2021.

I think Jones is a guy that will run in the Top 5 and be a contender to win this race. Starting P24 makes him a super chalky play and I expect him to be a big difference-maker in lineups on Saturday.

Myatt Snider: #2 RCR Chevrolet – $7,700

This one could be a risky play, but I’ve noticed RCR’s program has been pretty damn good at this type of race track. I think Snider could run Top 5 in this race.

RCR has actually won the last two Xfinity races held at Michigan with Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick. Myatt Snider won earlier this year at Homestead which is a somewhat similar track.

I think Snider will be very low-owned and can be an ultimate difference-maker in GPP contests.

Ryan Vargas: #6 JD Motorsports Chevrolet – $4,800

Vargas is a guy I believed would have a much better year than it turned out. With all the struggles, there is actually a promising silver lining for this weekend.

His average finish on 1.5 mile + tracks this season is 22.8. Starting P35 and priced at $4,800, Vargas is absolutely worth a play based on the stats.

The concern is the risk of a mechanical issue that puts him out, but if that does not happen on Saturday, I think Vargas runs Top 25. If that happens, Vargas is a solid, valuable punt play for the weekend.
