North Carolina Education Lottery 200: NASCAR DFS Truck Series Picks For DraftKings

Welcome back- you beautiful degenerate gamblers- to the greatest NASCAR bettor in the universe. I’m out here grinding in Speedway, IN preparing my NASCAR DFS plays for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Last weekend, when it rained, it poured over at the Circuit of The America’s.

In a good way.

It rained at the track and poured more money into my wallet. Hopefully, we poured some into yours as well. Todd Gilliland, who was one of my picks and DFS plays, cashed big time as he won his first race of the season. His odds were +1800. Trucks continue to stay hot, and I see no slowing down this weekend in Charlotte.

Even as an IndyCar man just for this week, I will never, ever forget about #TruckNightInAmerica. It trumps all.

Let’s get right into it, Garage Fam.

Once again, we have same-day qualifying to mix everything up. Be sure to keep in touch with my updates.

Keep up with my Twitter @daletanhardt or the Garage Guys Discord by clicking the link below as I will likely make some lineup additions as soon as qualifying is over.

NASCAR DFS Truck Picks For DraftKings

Austin Hill: #16 Hattori Racing Toyota – $10,400

Welcome back to the show, Mr. Mile and a Half.

Austin Hill has been flat-out spectacular on 1.5’s over the past few years. He’s by far been the most consistent in the series, and his stats this season are pointing at a W very soon.

He has finished in the Top 3 on 1.5’s in each of the three races this season.

I think Hill will be the top dominator play for the race tonight. He’s going to be strong and will contend for the win all night. I’ll go a step further:

Hill wins this race tonight (Free Pick Alert).

John Hunter Nemechek: #4 KBM Toyota – $10,900

I’m back on the KFB train. I think the KBM trucks will be very difficult to beat this weekend. Practice and qualifying makes things more interesting and might give the GMS crew a decent advantage, but JHN has been so fast on the 1.5’ers this year.

In three races on the cookie cutter 1.5’s in 2021, JHN has finishes of 1st, 3rd, and 5th. I expect nothing less, and quite frankly am not concerned about his starting spot nor the minor damage he received in practice this morning.

Mark JHN as a top-tier play going into tonight.

Carson Hocevar: #42 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet – $6,100

I constantly write about this guy, but why wouldn’t I when DraftKings continues to undermine his ability?

He’s got two consecutive Top 10 finishes heading into Charlotte as he notched his best career finish of 3rd place at Darlington two weeks ago. His truck has been showing improving speed as the season has progressed, and I think he will be in the mix tonight.

The price here is just so cheap. His equipment is good, his ability is good, and I love drivers with momentum on their side. Pencil Carson in as a super valuable play for tonight based on his price.

Tanner Gray: #15 DGR Racing Ford – $7,300

Gray has had solid speed at most races this season. It’s just about getting to the finish without issues.

Gray was very strong last season on the 1.5’s, and has shown solid speed on these tracks this year as well. He has run in the Top 20 in each of the three 1.5’s this year.

Qualifying will have an impact on this guy for me, but at his price, he could fill your lineup and put you in an excellent position to bag some cash. Keep an eye on quals and my adjustments later this evening.
