Welcome to the Goodyear 400 AKA NASCAR Throwback week at Darlington Raceway. Something is a little different about this year’s race, and it doesn’t have to do with the race or cars being electric af, It’s because it’s my first time actually being in Darlington for a race. DFS has been solid on DraftKings and FanDuel and since I’m the self-proclaimed throwback king, I feel like that trend will continue on NASCAR’s most nostalgic weekend of the season.
Most of you know by now that we have a new partnership with Inside Tailgating, and I will be traveling the country to multiple NASCAR races and American Cornhole League Tournaments over the next three months. I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity and look forward to bringing more light to the ACL and the awesomeness that is Tailgaiting. I’m even more excited about meeting some of the Garage Fam along the way.
Below are some picks that Chef Boi and I discussed, but unfortunately wasn’t able to make the preview show this week due to my traveling. Now that the worst is over, you can expect me back next week for Dover (that rhymed lol). Chef Boi also pulled out one of his RSVLTS shirts, so you know it’s game time (he also said I was broke rich and I fucking love it #DOGETOTHEMOON)

Goodyear 400 At Darlington Raceway: DraftKings, FanDuel NASCAR DFS Lineup Picks
#11 Denny Hamlin – (DK – $10.6K | FD – $14K)
Denny The Dennis had one hell of a setback last week at Kansas, but also said some shit about speaking things into existence and I fuck with that. I’m thinking he was talking about this week because looking back to past results here in Darlington, Denny was a MACK and he’s ready to throw it back. Denny starts P7 on Sunday and has all he needs to dominate the short track life with his JGR racing machine.
#19 Martin Truex Jr. – (DK – $10.3K | FD – $13.5K)
I like to call Martin Truex Jr. “Empty J” (figure it out) because it sounds cool, but he also has some cool stats here as well and I think we will see some Cool runnings with Martin starting in P4. Truex holds the laps led title currently here and can whip the fastest lap out of the field. Truex is worth the price tag, and could easily be in the optimal lineup this week.
#43 Erik Jones – (DK – $8.2K | FD – $7.3K)
I’m Jones’in for EJ this week starting in P26, and I’m not afraid of his car downgrade like I feel most will be. It’s easy to be good when you’re running with Joe Gibbs, but Darlington is a true driver’s track, and it takes just as much skill to be able to execute as it does speed. I see Jones being a big place differential boi and he’s STUPID cheap on FanDuel.
#37 Ryan Preece – (DK – $5.9K | FD – $4.5K)
Preece hasn’t been very productive as of late, but all the Preece’s should fall into place to make him a great punt play this week. Ryan is our low boi starting in P29 and should find himself finishing inside the Top 20 this week. His average running position is P23 and his price tag on both sites makes him worthy of the punt (he’ll probably be skipped over a good bit, and we like that if he can do what we feel he can for bagging purposes).
