THIS IS DEGA WEEK, and all the rowdiest NASCAR fans across the globe are headed to Talladega Alabama for the GEICO 500! Unfortunately, the Garage Guys will miss yet another race at the fastest speedway in the world, but hope is still alive for us to bag from home on DraftKings and FanDuel. Once Rona isn’t a factor anymore and the floodgates open on Talladega Boulevard, I know we will come back swinging to do the most on NASCAR’s wildest race weekend.
So many memories have been made at this track for me personally over the years, and in a way, Talladega is a part of me (deep in my soul). It’s the place where I watched Dale Earnhardt Sr battle Jeff Gordon in the 90’s sitting in Tri-Oval Tower, it’s where I first truly partied and experienced my first hangover, and in 2019, It’s the place where Chef Boi and I first met during my first race as an official NASCAR media member. Without Talladega, I would probably be banging my head against a desk somewhere in America wishing I’d have been a bit more adventurous with my life (but luckily IT ME and I’m not, so watch this cool ass video I made in 2019).
We all know that anytime we go to a Superspeedway, there is a certain strategy we break out for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel. Everyone in the Fantasy NASCAR industry will try to lure you into believing that they have some sort of magic to give you the winners, but the truth is they’re full of shit. We are the only ones who truly know how this shit goes, and we have Recipes, Strategies, Mixures, and spells to prove it (Dont believe me? Watch the NASCAR DFS Preview Show and you’ll see what I mean).

GEICO 500 At Talladega Superspeedway: DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Picks
#7 Corey Lajoie – (DK – $5.6K | FD – $4K)
Corey not only checked in this week for an episode of Garage Talk, but he is one of our superspeedway supermen for DraftKings and FanDuel. Lajoie will be starting from P26, and regardless if you are going full strategy or full mixure, Lajoie belongs in your lineups. At this year’s Daytona 500, Lajoie finished in P9 (plus he knows how to slingshot on a big track and stays chill af).
#12 Ryan Blaney – (DK – $10.1K | FD – $13.5K)
Blaney has been crowned King of Dega by me after winning two races at this track back to back in 2019 and 2020. Penske cars are just so damn good when plate racing, and you have to have a proven winner in your lineups (well at least most of them). Blaney starts P7 on Sunday, and the number seven is a lucky ass number (and we’re gonna need some luck to go in our mixture spell strategy recipe!)
#23 Bubba Wallace – (DK – $7K | FD – $6.5K)
Facebook people are triggered right now probably, and that’s ok because I love watching old white dudes get pissed off when they see Bubba’s name. I’m rolling with Bubba because he starts in P24, and it’s fucking time for him to win this race! Wallace has been great at this track over the years right up until the ass end but teres no more time for excuses in the 23XI Toyota Camry.
#47 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – (DK – $8.5K | FD – $11K)
Stenhouse has taken a minor setback since the Bristol Dirt race, but minor setbacks usually turn into MAJOR comebacks. Stenhouse Jr. has one win in his entire career, and it came right at the track this whole article is about (if you’re stoned I’m writing about Talladega). He starts P17 this week, which was his number when he won at this track, and just know he’s gonna be balls to the wall out the gate (and I fuck with that energy).
