NASCAR DFS Bristol Dirt Race

Food City Dirt Race At Bristol: NASCAR DFS Picks For DraftKings and FanDuel

Welcome to what’s sure to be the new “Greatest (possible shit) Show on Dirt”, The Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Choosing drivers for our NASCAR DFS lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel has been a tough task, and these four guys I’ll be talking about are truly who I feel are gonna rip the dirt off the track, and steal the show (we’ll two of them for sure should anyway). I had to get some extra motivation to get this article underway, so I focused my energy and conjured my inner Tony Stewart to help us all.

Now that we have that clear, It’s time to talk about some cup dirt. The Bristol Dirt Race on Sunday was looked at as one of the most absurd ideas that NASCAR ever had, and while I can understand some people’s concerns, I also see the value in letting some of the best drivers in the world grip wheel and rip the fuck out of the bowels of gods green earth. Our first glimpse of what this actually looked like came on Friday when the Trucks and Cup Cars took to the track for two practice sessions.

One of the biggest worries I’ve seen is that the track isn’t holding water. This is crucial for a dirt track, and with its current state, we will most likely see one line racing as the track transforms after a good many laps. Passing will also be a major difficulty, so while these drivers are my favorites at the current moment, track position will be king (Which is why your ass will probably need our NASCAR DFS Premium Content this weekend to have your best chance at securing the bag, okay?).

Food City Dirt Race At Bristol Motor Speedway: DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Picks

#20 Christopher Bell – (DK – $11K | FD – $13.5K)

It’s no shocker that Christopher Bell is here, and after Friday’s practice sessions, he looked pretty damn good. Bell has a ton of dirt racing experience and is set to qualify in Heat 2 from P8 on Saturday. Track position is Kings this weekend, and I expect to see Chris starting inside the Top 5.

#48 Alex Bowman – (DK – $7.7K | FD – $8.2K)

Bowman shocked the shit out of me on Friday after showing some serious speed in both practices. Bowman does have some dirt experience with midget cars and ran the Chili Bowl in 2016. With Bowman having this Ally rocketship on Sunday, he is a STEAL for his price and will start P1 in Heat 3 on Saturday.

#11 Denny Hamlin – (DK – $9.1K | FD – $11.5K)

James Dennis was consistent on Friday and provided me with enough faith that he can keep up with the pace on the Tennessee dirt. Denny was a big advocate for NASCAR giving the drivers another set of tires before Sunday’s action due to the extensive track wear. With the unexpected tire strategy coming into play, I trust Denny and Gabehart to play chess.

#21 Matt DiBenedetto – (DK – $6.7K | FD – $6.2K)

Matty D (and or Debbie) had a ton of fun ripping the track on Friday, and even wants to see NASCAR continue adding dirt races to the schedule moving forward. DiBenedetto has some experience from his past on the dirt, but the dude is not regular like some of the high-priced guys this week. Matt said on Friday that anytime he’s got into a dirt car, it was like riding a bike, so I expect him to drive smart and pedal his ass off on Sunday.
