NASCAR heads to Phoenix Raceway for the Instacart 500 this Sunday, and DraftKings and FanDuel are in BIG TROUBLE. Over the past four weeks, the NASCAR DFS gods have semi blessed our picks, but the NASCAR betting gods have been stabbing us with checkered flag lightning bolts for their amusements. Luckily for us, the energy from Sedona Arizona is powerful enough to cover the entire planet and should reset our juju for picking winners.
There is plenty of new info for us to use going into the Instacart 500. For starters, it seems like Stewart-Haas Racing has been putting water in their gas tanks, and Kevin Harvick is still priced insanely high on DraftKings and FanDuel. Hendrick Motorsports is absolutely on fire and has two out of their four drivers already in the playoffs. The most important thing is that it seems like a ton of drivers understand the landscape of post covid racing.
Brad Keselowski will be on the pole this week, followed by Sunday’s race winner Kyle Larson. Both Kyle and Brad have the record and position to kick things off dominating the track, but some other guys priced a little sexier have what it takes to lead us to the NASCAR promise land. It’s time to feel the energy and the flow, and get the fucking bag!

Instacart 500: DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Picks
#11 Denny Hamlin – (DK – $9.9K | FD – $13K)
I like to think that Denny Hamlin is still pissed off just a little about not winning the ship in 2020, and he’s ready to unleash the fury on Phoenix Raceway. Hamlin has finished inside the Top 10 at this track eight times since 2015 and grabbed a win here in 2019. That win came after starting in P3, which is where he will start this Sunday.
#9 Chase Elliott – (DK – $11.5K | FD – $13.5K)
Bills Boi will be starting in P6 on Sunday, and after last week’s shitty luck I look for him to hit the bounce back hard. Chase Elliott is the last driver to win at this track, and brought home a championship while doing it. He’s a no-brainer to throw some money at this week with the speed he had before his car became a bumper car this past Sunday.
#48 Alex Bowman – (DK – $8.7K | FD – $9K)
When I looked at Alex’s stats at this track, I almost threw up over the thought of playing him in DFS on Sunday. After thinking about it more, I started to realize that this is a great play for a couple of reasons, and you’re either with me or you’re fucking up. Bowman has a fast-ass racecar, and he’s starting in P21 which is the furthest back he’s ever started at this track driving for Hendrick Motorsports (plus the hometown kid has to win at some point).
#99 Daniel Suarez – (DK – $5.9K | FD – $4.5K)
There’s nothing like a NASCAR DFS punt play that’s worth a damn (sorry Rick Ware), and Chef Boi has persuaded me to roll with PitBulls favorite racecar driver at Phoenix. Suarez hasn’t been a miracle worker on the track this year, but with him starting in P27, he is the best-looking guy floating in the low boi pond. This guy legit vomited in his helmet at the Daytona RC and finished the race, so I’ll take that type of dedication any day of the week (except if he starts P20 or higher).
