We have officially made it to the greatest week for bagging tourneys and stacking cash on DraftKings and FanDuel in NASCAR, VEGAS WEEKEND! The Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube takes place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and I always go “All In” at the track where I’ve been a proven bagger. There’s no time to look back at this 1.5 Mile track, and even though Matthew McConaughey says “Sometimes you gotta go back to move forward” it’s not an option anymore.
It’s no secret that my NASCAR best bets have been absolute dog shit so far this season, and if it was, I just let the cat out of the bag. I know the game ain’t easy, and I wouldn’t play it if it was (It ain’t me, I ain’t no fortunate son), so after a long week of reflecting and battling my inner demons, I’ve decided to watch nothing but gambling movies for the rest of the weekend. There’s no better way to prepare to win than by watching Joe Pesci “big dick” a man twice his size for taking off his shoes and propping up his feet in the middle of a Casino.
So now that I’ve completely made you forget you were reading a NASCAR DFS article, let’s talk about the pole-sitter for Sunday. Kevin Harvick will be starting P1 at Vegas, and over the years he’s put up some impressive stats, but I’m just not ready to believe. The play is tempting, and while I’ll most likely give him a shot in a few lineups, he is not someone I’m putting in my picks this week (You’re either with me or you’re not, and I won’t be mad if you’re not).

Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube: DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Picks
#11 Denny Hamlin – (DK – $9.2K | FD – $12K)
The Hamlet rolls off P6 on Sunday, and I smell domination coming from a pissed-off Gibbs driver who hasn’t ripped a dub yet. Hamlin led a total of 124 laps back in September at this track, and even though the weather will be different, I think he has finally figured out how to work this track. Forget past stats from years past, Denny is here, and he wants his win!
#22 Joey Logano (AKA Joseph L.) – (DK – $10K | FD – $13K)
You can always count on Joey to burn the damn rubber at this race. I can tell you some deep statistical shit about how he makes his moves, or I can tell you his real secret which is the yellow on his car tricks people into thinking he’s just the sun in their rearview mirror. Believe what you want, but just know that Logano is the top closer in the field, and has led a total of 246 laps here in the past four races.
#10 Aric Almirola – (DK – $8.6K | FD – $7.5K)
Until I found out about Aric Almirola, I never knew there was a man on earth named Aric spelled with an A (True Fact). Just like the first letter in his name, I’m pre-grading Bacon Boi with an “A” this week on DraftKings and FanDuel. Almirola starts in P28 this Sunday and has an average finish of 14.5 at this track, which means place differential should come with ease.
#41 Cole Custer – (DK – $6.5K | FD – $7.3K)
Custer is my “Shoot For The Stars” play of the week, which could leave you in a big bind, or pay off nicely compared to some of the punt plays on this week’s Cup Series slate. Cole will be rolling from P20 on Sunday, and his salary makes it hard to pass him up knowing he is driving Stewart Haas equipment. Ford is good at LVMS, and Custer could be the guy that gets passed over for some of these other deep plays.
