Truex Daytona NASCAR DFS DraftKings FanDuel Picks Road Course

O’Reilly Auto Parts 253: NASCAR DFS Picks For DraftKings and FanDuel

After what seems like one of the fastest weeks of my life, we are right back to NASCAR racing at the Daytona Road Course for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253. Last week was one of the busiest and wildest weekends I’ve had in a while, and we still managed to have some of the Garage Fam get NASCAR DFS bags on DraftKings and FanDuel. As much as I wish we could have spent another week in Daytona, I’m happy to be back and rested to get ready for DFS and Betting shenanigans this weekend.

On Thursday, I had the chance to speak with a driver who hasn’t raced in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2018. A. J. Allmendinger will be suiting up for Kaulig Racing this weekend and will be running the Xfinity race on Saturday as well. He has a hefty price on both DraftKings and FanDuel, and while I will have a few lineups with him involved, I’m a bit weary due to the equipment he will be running in.

The most recent race we’ve seen at the Daytona Road Course was the 2021 Busch Clash, where Kyle Busch took the dub after a friendly wreck between Road Course phenom Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney. While I don’t see this race playing out the same way, there are plenty of notes to take from what transpired. There are also a TON of good plays for this race on DraftKings and FanDuel based on starting positions.

O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 NASCAR DFS Picks – DraftKings and FanDuel

#19 Martin Truex Jr. – (DK – $11K | FD – $13.5K)

Truex Jr. was looking damn good at the Busch Clash a couple weeks ago, but had shitty luck follow him early into the season. I dont expect that to be the case on Sunday, and will be playing him in the majority of my lineups. Truex is a proven road course racer, and he’s ready to get back to winning in 2021.

#17 Chris Buescher – (DK – $7.2K | FD – $6K)

Chris Buescher will now be called “The Mighty Buesch” from here on out (because I said so so do it…please). Buescher had an impressive run at the 2020 Daytona Road Course race, where he worked his way up to a Top 5 finish after starting in P21. Dont sleep on him as one of your Mid-Tier driver picks this Sunday.

#9 Chase Elliott – (DK – $10.7K | FD – $14K)

I feel like a broken record when writing about Chase Elliott this season already after writing him up in my last three articles, but dammit he’s just that good. I could literally just write random words for this paragraph without giving any statistical data, even though he’s starting on the pole. You’re still going to play him regardless of what I say so have at it because I’ll probably play him some too.

#48 Alex Bowman – (DK – $9K | FD – $9K)

Shoutout to Bowflex machines, and shoutout to Alex Bowman. We didn’t get to see Bowman finish the Daytona 500 last Sunday and he had to be BIG MAD after grabbing the pole, but good things are coming this week for those who play Alex on DraftKings and FanDuel. Bowman starts P36 on Sunday, giving you a shitload of place differential opportunity.
